We undertook a survey asking pupils from 2nd to 6th Class what clubs they are part of. Our Active School Flag Committee were asked to distribute and explain a ‘What Clubs Are You In?’ survey to their classmates.
Each child was asked three questions:
1. What sports do you play?
2. What clubs, if any, are you a member of?
3. What is your favourite way to keep active?
The results were gathered and the Active Flag Committee worked hard with Mr.Keohane to display the results on three graphs.
These graphs are displayed on our Active Schools Board.
The results of this survey showed that the children in Ballyheada participate in a wide variety of sports, with the most popular being Hurling,Camogie, Gaelic Football, Dancing, Soccer, Swimming and Athletics!
The clubs which our students are members include Ballinhassig GAA, Ballinhassig AFC, Martial Arts Warriors and various athletic clubs such as Leevale!
It was wonderful to see a wide variety of choices when it came to how our pupils like to keep fit!
There really is something for everyone when it comes to keeping active!
