Water Action Day!
As part of our Green-Schools' programme, we held a Water Action Day today. Pupils and staff wore blue to symbolise the vital role water plays in our world.
Lenny Fourie (Art and Eirnin's dad) and Gerard Quinn from the RNLI visited the school and delivered informative water safety talks to each class group.
Throughout the day, pupils engaged in water-themed experiments and quizzes, deepening their understanding of this precious resource.
Each pupil created a water-saving promise, written or illustrated on a droplet-shaped piece of paper. These will be combined to form our Water Pledge Wall — a visual reminder of our collective commitment to water conservation.
During Assembly, members of the Green-Schools' Committee gave brief presentations on water — where it’s found, how we use it and why it is important, as well as practical ways to conserve it both at home and at school. The presentations were followed by lively water-themed raps, songs, and poems performed by pupils across the school.
