Mrs. Horgan’s 4th and 5th Class took on a STEM challenge with just one sheet of A4 paper – to design and build the longest paper chain possible! It was a brilliant exercise in problem-solving, creativity and teamwork. The children experimented with different approaches, shapes and cutting techniques. Afterwards, it was really interesting to reflect together on which strategies worked best and how their designs could be improved. The excitement filled the halla as each chain was measured, with plenty of fun along the way. Congratulations to the group whose chain stretched an impressive 406 cm!
