RNLI Water Safety Talk

18th Jun 2026

Today, 4th and 5th Class took part in an RNLI Water Safety webinar. The children learned important and timely messages about staying safe in and around water, especially with the summer holidays approaching. A key skill covered was “Float to Live”, where pupils learned how to move into the starfish or pencil position with their head back to help them stay calm and float if they ever find themselves in difficulty in water. The children also explored how to stay safe at the beach, how to recognise dangers at the beach, how to recognise rip currents, and what to do in the event of an emergency in water.
