Green-Schools Visit from An Taisce
Today was a very special milestone in our Green-Schools journey. We were delighted to welcome David Macilwraith from An Taisce to meet with our Green-Schools Committee and review the wonderful work taking place under our Water theme.
The committee members had prepared a detailed presentation, with each pupil confidently speaking about one of the Seven Steps and answering David’s questions about the actions we have taken as a school.
We proudly showed him our Water Pledges Wall and our Green-Schools noticeboard before finishing the visit with a performance of our Green School Code by pupils from Mrs. Horgan’s room and Ms. Simcox’s room.
David was extremely complimentary about the dedication, teamwork and commitment shown by both the committee and the wider school community in working towards our Water Flag.
Mrs. Horgan was immensely proud of the committee and the wonderful way they represented the school.
We are now ready to submit our Green Flag application, outlining all of our work across the Seven Steps. Fingers crossed as we eagerly await the news around Easter time!
